February 6, 2022

After a hectic week of receiving new revised information, it has come to a final conclusion according to the latest Surat Edaran Nomor 9/SE/2022, that the capacity of the classrooms will be restrained to 50% as well as the face-to-face lessons limited to a maximum of 2 hours and 40 minutes per day. Regarding Secondary 4 and JC students the upcoming weeks will be a combination of face-to-face classes in the morning and HBL (home based learning) in the afternoon. The choice of attending face-to-face classes is optional, so to avoid much confusion, students must inform their teachers at the latest notice of their decision.

The following Week 5 of the second semester (7-11 February) will be the returning and discussions of marked time trial papers from the previous week done by Secondary 4 and JC students. Meanwhile, Secondary 2 students will also be having their time trials, specifically on Feb 8 & 10.

Moving on to Week 6 (14-18 February), Secondary 4 and JC students will continue to carry out the time trials at home via Zoom. Secondary 2 students will have time trials specifically on Feb 15 & 17.

Week 7 (21-25 February) will have JC students discussing their marked papers during face-to-face/HBL classes, while the Secondary 4 students will still be sitting for the time trials, carried out in HBL via Zoom. Thus far these are all the details regarding the time trials for Secondary 4 and JC students. A quick reminder to students attending face-to-face classes to observe caution and to stay safe.

Now, we shall enlist the upcoming events that will take place:

  • The Isra Miraj holiday is on 1st March 2022. There will be no classes on this day.

  • 10th RMUN (RCS Model United Nations) will be on February 11-12, 2022.

  • Speech and Prize Giving Day 2022 Theme: ‘Triumph of Faith’ will be on February 26, 2022. The Teacher of the Year selection will constitute 60% of students' votes and 40% of teachers' votes.

On a final note, much excitement to upcoming occasions, and good luck to all the students getting through the weeks, especially students taking the time trials.
